Nicos Pavlides studied Economics and then Law (LLB) at the University of Sydney, graduating with honours. After two years working for the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions in Sydney (2001-2002), he was awarded a Chevening scholarship and pursued further studies at the London School of Economics and University College London, where he obtained a Master of Laws degree (LLM) with a focus on financial-related legal subjects. Concurrently, he worked for the Crown Prosecution Service in London, primarily on cases of economic crime.
Following his overseas studies and work, he returned to Cyprus and joined the CySEC legal department in 2004. In 2008, Nicos transitioned to the private sector and became a registered lawyer. Since 2012, he has also been one of the directors of NAP Regulatory Compliance Services Ltd, a firm providing compliance and advisory services to issuers of listed titles, funds, and major investment firms.
In 2011, he was awarded a Fulbright scholarship, which allowed him to undergo specialized training in New York, focusing on the obligations of listed issuers and market abuse issues.
Nicos has been creating valuable and in-depth workshops and learning programs for over 15 years. He has developed and delivered programs for professional associations, tertiary institutions, and private clients. His focus is on the practical implementation of laws and regulations and addressing the many challenges professionals in the field face.
